The Emma Trophy is presented at our Championship show each year to the previous years Top Airedale Terrier.The Trophy was presented to the Association by the late Mrs A Sommi-Picenardi in memory of Ch. Ginger Xmas Carol.

Known to all as Emma, and always prepared and handled by Mary Swash, she won Best in Show at Crufts in 1986 - the second Airedale ever to win this award. She was also Top Airedale, Top Terrier and Top Dog all breeds in 1985. Her other wins include five Best in Show, four Reserve Best in Show, fifteen Terrier Groups at General Championship Shows and four Best in Show at Breed Club Shows.
